The Byzantine Histaminon Nomisma of Constantine X is a historical coin of the Byzantine Empire minted during the reign of Emperor Constantine X (1059-1067 AD). The Histaminon Nomisma was a gold coin that served as the main currency of the Byzantine Empire from the 11th century.
The obverse of the coin depicts a portrait of Emperor Constantine X, facing forward, wearing a crown on his head and wearing a rosette, a type of royal attire. On the edge of the coin is the inscription 'dN CONSTANTINOS CE BASILEUS ROM', which means 'Constantine, Emperor of the Romans'.
The reverse of the coin depicts Jesus Christ facing forward, raising his right hand in blessing and holding a Bible in his left hand. On the edge of the coin are the words 'Isus Christus Basileu Basile', which means 'Jesus Christ, King of kings'
